  • The Dows Lane Library is a  place where students become effective users of ideas and information.  Our goal is to promote and nurture lifelong reading habits for both reading for pleasure and reading for information.

Students in grades K-3 will receive library instruction once a week.  All students are allowed to check out 2 books from the library.

    • Students may return books and choose others throughout the day, with permission from the classroom teacher.
    • There are no late fees, but we do ask you to replace or pay for any lost or damaged materials.

The 'Birthday Book Club' is ON HOLD for now.

Help celebrate your child's birthday with a book donation in school! When your child joins the Dows Lane Birthday Book Club, a book is donated to the school library with a special commemorative bookplate in your child’s honor. It’s a fantastic way to help grow our library collection and get your child excited about reading! For more information please contact the school librarian, Gina Samaniego, at
