  • The Dows Lane Library is a  place where students become effective users of ideas and information.  Our goal is to promote and nurture lifelong reading habits for both reading for pleasure and reading for information.

    • Students in grades K-2 come to the library once a week for instruction as well as to select books for school and personal reading. Third grade students visit the library to check out books and for a collaboration with the classroom teacher and the librarian.
    • Students may return books and choose others throughout the day, with permission from the classroom teacher.
    • There are no late fees, but we do ask you to replace or pay for any lost or damaged materials.

     Birthday Book Club:

Help celebrate your child's birthday with a book donation in school! When your child joins the Dows Lane Birthday Book Club, a book is donated to the school library with a special commemorative bookplate in your child’s honor. It’s a fantastic way to help grow our library collection and get your child excited about reading! For more information, please contact
