  • As part of the District DEI commitment, the district has offered opportunities for staff, parents, community members and BOE  to engage in learning around anti-racism.  The sessions will focus on: (1) developing a common language around CR-S education, (2) examining that role that social identities, power, and privilege play in shifting individual and systemic inequalities in schools, (3) identifying CR-S education school and classroom practices, and (4) developing competency around using the CRE Toolkit.

     

    Lead Learner Cohort # 1 - 2021-2022 School Year- These sessions will be lead by NYU external experts.

     

    Lead Learner Cohort #2 - January 2022- June 2022- These sessions will be co-lead by  Michael Berkowitz,  Gail Duffy,  and Sara Rust (members of Lead Learner Cohort #1) who will be supported by external experts.  

     

    Lead Learner Cohort #3 - October 2022-May 2023 -  These sessions will be co-lead by  Michael Berkowitz,  Gail Duffy, Sara Rust, Jennifer DeLisi-Hall (Lead Learner Cohort #2)   and Sarah Katz (Lead Learner Cohort #2)   who will be supported by external experts.
