Irvington Students Give Outstanding Performances at Winter Concerts
Irvington Middle School and Irvington High School recently held their annual winter concert series, where all ensembles gave a stellar performance demonstrating their skills and talents through a variety of repertoire.
The middle and high school bands delivered an electrifying performance under the skilled guidance of middle school band director Paul Scattertico and high school band director Debra McCumber on Dec. 4. The orchestra and choral ensembles took center stage on Dec. 12. The orchestra concert, led by Shadman Mirza, and the choral performances, directed by middle school chorus director Jonathan Faiman and high school chorus director Stephen DiGiovanni, highlighted the depth of talent within the Irvington schools.
“As a department, we are so unbelievably proud of all of our students and their incredible accomplishments,” said McCumber, the music department chairperson. “Our students work extremely hard, and their talents, musicianship and passion for music just shine through at every concert.”
