Counselors Guide Students on Postsecondary Planning
Irvington High School’s counseling department hosted its annual Senior Town Hall on Sept. 18, providing essential guidance to support students as they embark on their post-secondary journey. They introduced the seniors to key resources, such as the Common Application and Naviance, and demonstrated how to complete the FERPA agreement and link their accounts for seamless college applications.
The counselors also reviewed the process of requesting letters of recommendation and transcripts through Naviance and highlighted the opportunity to register for upcoming college representative visits, which began the week of Sept. 23. To conclude the event, the students scheduled their individual senior postsecondary planning meetings, which will take place between late September and mid-October.
