Six students from Irvington High School received Community Leadership Awards from the Village of Irvington Board of Trustees for their dedication and commitment to promoting healthy and responsible choices by teens in the community.
Alexandra Cloutman, Olivia Liu, Syian Sawian, Alex Shapiro, Jack Van der Spuy and Scott Zinman, all juniors, were presented with the award on June 3 by Mayor Jonathan Siegel, Community Action Board Chairman Chris Raymond and Parks and Recreation Superintendent Maureen DePaoli. The students have been led in their work by IMS and IHS student assistance counselor Danielle Gamar.
