The Irvington Union Free School District’s legacy of excellence dates back generations. In recent years, our talented leaders, faculty, and staff have passionately collaborated to expand learning experiences and make our schools among the best in New York State.

From kindergarten through twelfth grade, we afford our students a comprehensive, enriching learning experience that is designed to prepare them to achieve their personal best while pursuing their passions and exploring new opportunities.  In all of our schools, we are proud to provide rich arts and music programs, drama experiences, a K-12 STEM sequence, technology-rich instruction, many extracurricular opportunities, and multiple student leadership opportunities.

A National School of Excellence, Irvington High School offers a wide array of Advanced Placement, Syracuse University Project Advance and other college-level courses. We offer a 5 year sequence in three languages: Spanish, French and Latin. In addition, a 2 year sequence in ancient Greek is available. Our District and schools have been recognized on multiple levels for student achievement.  Regularly, Irvington schools have been named Reward Schools by the New York State Education Department for consistent high student achievement.  In 2015-16 and 2016-17, the School District was chosen as the “Best School District” by the readers of Westchester Magazine. Most importantly, Irvington students are frequently recognized for their academic, musical and athletic skills as well as their generosity of spirit in contributing to their peers, school and community through service organizations.

While we are proud of all of the accomplishments, we are most humbled by the strong support of our school community.  Through strong partnerships with the PTSA, Irvington Education Foundation (IEF), Bulldog Booster Club, our parents and neighbors we have a strong, student-first culture that simply makes IUFSD a special place.
