Students Express Creativity Through Eyes on Art Program
Main Street School students expressed their imagination and created their own art, inspired by internationally acclaimed, creative Catalan Spanish artist Joan Miró as part of the PTSA-funded Eyes on Art program from May 6-10.
The program enabled the students to learn more about the famous artist and how he demonstrated imagination and inventiveness. Through the program, trained parent volunteers taught the students about Miró’s various elements of art and how his art encompassed a wide range of media that exploded with color, biomorphic shapes and dreamlike spaces. His works embodied nature, beauty and fantasy.
Special thanks to the volunteers for leading the sessions and to the PTSA for funding the program.
