K-5 Students Pick Up Belongings
Dows Lane Elementary School and Main Street School teachers and staff reconnected with their students from a distance during a curbside pickup for student belongings on May 21. Driven by their parents, the students held signs, smiled and waved back at their teachers, telling them how much they miss them.
“We loved seeing our students, and we are looking forward to the day we are all back together again,” Dows Lane Principal Andrea Kantor said.
The students returned their books and collected items they had left behind in lockers and classrooms. The students’ belongings were packed by their teachers, placed in bags and labeled clearly with each student’s name to make it easier for parents to pick up.
“We all miss our students and enjoyed seeing their smiling faces from a distance,” Main Street School Principal Joyce Chapnick said.
