Main Street School Welcomes New Students and Families
Main Street School held its annual New Families Breakfast on Sept. 8, providing a warm welcome to the 12 students and their families who are new to the Irvington Union Free School District.
The event offered an opportunity to meet Principal Joyce Chapnick, Assistant Principal Heather Shaughnessy, members of the MSS staff, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Scott Wynne. The students and families also connected with leaders from the PTSA and PAC, gaining valuable insight about Main Street School.
During the event, every new student was paired with a buddy, who served as a peer leader at the beginning of the school year and joined them for the breakfast. Special thanks to the PTSA for supporting the event.
