Student Artists Showcase “The Irvington Way” at Irvington Public Library

Throughout the month of February, the Irvington Public Library’s Martucci Gallery featured a vibrant celebration of student creativity. The Irvington Union Free School District Art Department presented a districtwide K to 12 exhibitions titled “The Irvington Way: Building Bridges to the Future.” 

The exhibit brought together artwork from all four district schools, Dows Lane Elementary School, Main Street School, Irvington Middle School, and Irvington High School. Representing artists from kindergarten through grade 12, the show highlighted the creativity, growth, and artistic voice of students at every level. 

Named for the district’s new initiative, The Irvington Way, the exhibition reflected its four pillars: to be courageous, to be engaged, to be collaborative, and to be self-aware. Across a wide range of media, styles, and themes, the displayed artwork demonstrated how students use art to express ideas, emotions, and personal stories while developing creativity, problem solving skills, and authentic student voice. 

The exhibition celebrated artists across the district and emphasized that at every level, students strive to create their work The Irvington Way. 

The Irvington Public Library will feature images from the exhibition on its website as a virtual presentation, allowing the community to experience and celebrate the outstanding work of Irvington students.
