MSS Students Shine in ‘Willy Wonka Jr.’ Spring Musical

MSS Students Shine in ‘Willy Wonka Jr.’ Spring Musical

Main Street School students brought the magic of “Willy Wonka Jr.” to life as their spring musical, delivering three outstanding performances that highlighted their talent, dedication and hard work.

Based on Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” the show follows candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his candy bars. The lucky winners earn a once-in-a-lifetime tour of his mysterious chocolate factory. The production was directed by music teacher Nicole Allison, with support from choreographer and assistant director Alissa Campbell, stage manager Matea Mulligan, set designer Diana McShea and technology specialist Rachel Nevins.

“Thanks to Ms. Allison, Ms. Campbell, Ms. Mulligan, Ms. McShea and Ms. Nevins for bringing the production to the MSS stage,” Principal Joyce Chapnick said. “We’re also grateful to our families for their support at home as students prepared for the show. Our students were incredible.”
