Main Street School Welcomes New Families at Annual Breakfast

Main Street School Welcomes New Families at Annual Breakfast

New students and their families had an opportunity to connect with their school community during Main Street School’s New Family Breakfast on Sept. 21.

The gathering welcomed 10 families to Main Street School, bringing together students, parents and student buddies and their families for a warm introduction to the school community. The breakfast provided an opportunity for new families to meet one another, build connections and begin feeling at home at Main Street School.

Helping make the morning possible were PTSA New Family Liaisons Mavis Edme, Heather Goodman and Mara Gredick, along with PAC members Amy Suehnholz, Melissa Lurye, Lauren D’Amico and Sarah Suehnholz, who contributed their time and hospitality to welcoming the school’s newest families.

The buddy program extends that welcoming spirit beyond breakfast by giving new students a peer connection as they become familiar with their new school. Through these relationships, students have a friendly face to turn to as they settle into the Main Street School community.

The experience reflects The Irvington Way by fostering a welcoming and collaborative environment where students and families can build relationships and feel connected to their school community.

Main Street School is excited to welcome its 10 new families and looks forward to all they will bring to the community this school year.
