Bulldog Bytes Team Earns Strong Finish at FIRST Robotics Regional

Members of Irvington High School’s Bulldog Bytes Robotics Team recently competed in the Hudson Valley Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at Rockland Community College. Drawing on a wide range of STEM skills, the team designed, built and programmed their robot in just six weeks.

Each of the 15 students contributed their own unique strengths, collaborating closely to bring the project to completion.

“All of their hard work and long hours paid off,” Bulldog Bytes Robotics Team adviser Stefanie Brinkerhoff said. “The team ranked 24 out of 49 teams from around the world. This is a big improvement over last year.”

The team is led by co-captains Andrew Blanton, Marcus Edme, Henry Fensterstock, Srihith Puri and Mark Rothman. Team members include Matthew Berger, Isaiah Charnow, Wyatt Cloutman, Ethan Eidenberg, Keane Nadler, Riley Ortman, Ryan Platzman, Julian Rothman, Joshua Shallom, Ryan Sham, Lucas Topel and Zachary Ziff Glueck.

The Bulldog Bytes will next compete at the Tech Valley Regional FIRST Robotics Competition, held at the MVP Arena in Albany from April 15-18.
